Although it introduces us to the world of tea for 2 decedes now, with knowledge, expertise and more than 200 varieties of tea, this years redesign made it the first authentic teahouse in the city of Athens.
Tea lovers can now get introduced to the wonderful world of tea in a new place in the center of Athens, especeially since last October when the total renovation of the teahouse "To Tsai" took place and the space was joined with the exhibition and sales area of Mlesna of Omirou street. Starting with its logo that refers to the Japanese ritual of te serving, architect George Batzios inspired the minimal style that uses clean lines of fir wood and square shelves with hidden lighting where the jars with over 200 varieties of tea are displayed! The result were so impressive that, although in the first months of its operation it had a place on the pages of the top design magazine "Wallpaper"
A random trip to Sri Lanka in the early 90's "tied" forever Sakis Papatheodorou the owner, and by extension his two sons, with the bonds of tea.
Today the hidden oasis of Soutsou street in Kolonaki can boast as the first authentic teahouse, where tea lovers enjoy in a highly relaxing environment a lighthearted Nuwara Eliya, a strong UVA, a traditional Earl Grey or a novelty green tea with mastic and an unrivaled range of flavors for all tastes. Teas are presented in a way that reminds uf of a ritualistic...ceremony, in fine porcelain tea potswith hourglass timer and homemade complimentary biscuits. If you got enchanted by the flavors and armas, to enjoy it at home, you can purchase it in bulk or packed, along with all serving and preparing accessories.
